Awesome show. The band was fantastic and Morrissey's voice sounded great. When he introduced the band he said, "And learning to play guitar very well... Jessie Tobias."Also said "Your fresh lovely mountain air -- it's killing me."
Claimed he made a joke about "voting for B.O." while in Dallas but that of course he "hadn't, and wouldn't. If ever there was a time for change it is, once again -- now."
The crowd was somewhat subdued but all hell broke loose during Still Ill, with probably 20 people trying to get on stage, and one guy making it up and hugging and kissing Moz. A great ending to a great show, with I Know It's Over and Ouija Board personal favorites.
The set list above is total BS, but someone will post the correct one. Action Man, People are the Same and Scandinavia were the new songs. Maladjusted was great. No Alma Matters sadly....
The Smiths were an English alternative rock band, formed in Manchester in 1982. Based on the song writing partnership of Morrissey (vocals) and Johnny Marr (guitar), the band also included Andy Rourke (bass) and Mike Joyce (drums). Critics have called them the most important alternative rock band to emerge from the British independent music scene of the 1980s.
